Easter

Yay! He is risen! Since I'm a chihuahua mom and dad figure that I was Catholic like them. So they brought me to church on Palm Sunday. I was fine at home while dad read at the Easter Vigil (nearly 3 hours long!).

Mom got a nice chocolate Easter bunny which they keep away from me since dogs can't eat chocolate (FYI--it's poisonous to dogs if they eat enough of it).

The local parish near our house cancelled their 6PM mass--but one of the strangest things I've ever seen happened. Throngs of people stood outside the locked church praying from 6P-7P anyway. It was almost like they were saying...we don't need no stinking priest!

Regardless, I thought it was a testament to their faith.

Dad's going to try to bring me to work on Wednesday, I think. I haven't been over there in awhile.

When Irish Dogs Are Smiling...

I went to see Grandpa for St. Patrick's Day which was so much fun. He lets me off my leash in a big park near his house and I get to run like a jackrabbit until I tire myself out. Since Gramps is Irish I wore my cool hat that dad found me.

The Haze Hayes Anniversary Special

So I haven't been blogging lately. With the cold the late night walks have become frequently shorter because I shiver in the cold even with my sweater and/or jacket on.

But TODAY there is reason to celebrate! While I have been Haze all my life, I have only been Haze Hayes since I was adopted by Mike and Marion Hayes and today is our one year anniversary. Dad plans to celebrate by cooking me a chicken burger. But he also got me dressed up for his next big Fordham event. Go Rams!

I'm so happy to be a Hayes. I don't just wag my tail when my mom or dad comes home but I do a good shaking of my whole back end. It's so exciting to have them home.

So much love to Mom and Dad for adopting me. It's been a great year!
